July 19, 2009 will be here before I know it.

Start spreading the news … the Psycho Hose Beast is on her way.

hope you have fun. I hate Manhattan. Its too crowded and muggy and people have no sense of personal space (no doubt due to the city life.)

This southern gal says No Thank You.

Oh so jealous you are going to NYC , it’s only about a 3 hour train ride for us but we never go.

If you are staying for more then a few days which I guess you would have to but the Ellis Island /Statue of Liberty ferry ride is fun.

In line with mccgood, feel free to join me Tuesday morning after my arrival and breakfast for a jaunt to Ground Zero, Battery Park and a trip on the Staten Island Ferry (which is FREE and passes right by Ellis and Liberty islands)

    20 days biatches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

aka @oharting on Twitter: Where to begin??

–Wander the streets of SOHO, ducking into little cafes and bars, checking out the awesome fashion and street vendors.

–Go to Union Square for people watching, grab a drink in the bar at the W Union Square, browse Barnes & Nobles, eat at Coffee Shop (all the wait staff (used to be) aspiring Ford models) and the atmosphere is lively, fun, hip: http://nymag.com/listings/restaurant/coffee-shop/

–Wander through Central Park and check out the great lawn. See if the philharmonic is playing, or maybe summer stage has some tickets. Bring a picnic, sit under the few stars you can see in the NY sky.

–Go to South Street seaport to see the view of my great hometown – Brooklyn – and the waterfall installations (if they are still there). maybe walk across the bridge and go to dinner at Grimaldi’s for pizza, check out the waterfall from “that side”

–Check out The Cathedral of St John the Divine on 11th and Amsterdam – claimed to be the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world. Close by is Columbia University.

    Must see museums
    –Frick
    –MOMA
    –Guggenhiem
    –Met

Shop, shop, shop! Eat, eat, eat!

Let me know if you need more ideas.
