The Church of Sushi

17 Aug

In the I Read Banned Books household, we worship at the Church of Sushi nearly every Sunday.  It is always a religious experience.

Sushi dining tip:  “Kampai!” (“empty your cup”) is the traditional Japanese toast you may hear. Do not say “chin chin” as to the Japanese, this is a reference to a certain male body part best left out of proper conversation.

The word “Kampai” is something I taught my friends to say whenever we get together for drink. That’s one Japanese word they learned quickly.
Thanks for the video. I had a good laugh out of it.

I took Kidlet to a Sushi bar by our house last week. We ended up with a stack of about 20 plates. That kid can put away the sushi.

I do not like sushi. Since I don’t eat cooked fish, I don’t eat it raw either;(
But I say to each his/her own.. especially if you enjoy it!

We REALLY need to coordinate a Sushi Sunday double date soon, it has been much too long since we ate fish and rice together!

    Bring on the unagi!
