The Five Stages of Promotion Grief
29 Jul
“Young men and women, study yourself. See who you really want to be and as soon as you see it, say it. Put it out into the universe. You must say it and then go about the business of becoming it.”
~ Maya Angelou

Summer break is over for me in 15 days. I am still hoping to get promoted in order to avoid the transfer reassignment to IDHMS 2.0. It is what it is. I am gainfully employed; that is the bright side. I know my time will come. I have reached a weird level of acceptance that something better awaits me. I just hope it finds me in the next two weeks.

you’ll get it, might not happen when you want but youll get it
I hope you get it, you certainly deserve it. They’d be crazy not to promote you! I understand the waiting game as well as you do, and am impressed by the weird level of acceptance that something better awaits you. I still struggle with that concept on a daily basis and want to know NOW what that something better is. My fingers are crossed for you. And please enjoy the rest of your vacation!
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve not gotten the promotion yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed and trying to send good karma vibes out there.
I didn’t realize that the Good Ole Boy Club exists anywhere other than in the South…
Your time is coming. It just sucks that you have to “pay your dues” and “earn your keep” (can I possibly come up with any more trite cliches?) first, when so many others don’t seem to have to do the same.
I’m glad you’ve reached the acceptance stage.
Crossing my fingers for you!
It will come. All good things come to those who are willing to wait for it. Waiting does suck. I have my fingers and some toes crossed that you will receive your promotion.
I’ve still got my fingers crossed for both of us.
Hope you get it! Damn, that picture is HAWT…
@ Godfather ~ As will you.
@ Miss Attitude ~ I choose to accept because I am tired of fighting the emo.
@ Saintseester ~ Will you be sending Justin Timberlake and some duct tape my way too? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!
@ Tense Teacher ~ “Never meaning no harm,” my lily white ass!
@ Starrlight ~ There is strength in numbers.
@ Topsurf ~ It’s the waiting that is the hardest part.
@ fandpinlv ~ What’s that Death Cab for Cutie lyric about being loved someday? Yes. That’s it.
@ Janet ~ Nutella is my lover.
