The timeless duo Donny & Marie Osmond have signed on for a new variety show on the Vegas strip beginning in September 2008. Everyone knows that locals avoid the Strip like the plague. I am a wee bit excited and ashamed to admit that I plan on seeing this show, wearing my purple socks.
I guess “I’m Leaving It All Up to You” to decide if you, I Read Banned Books readers, will be back to this blog ever again.

Judy Strangis, who played DynaGirl in the Krofft series-ette ElectraWoman and DynaGirl, was one of the first young women who “made me feel kinda funny” (see: Garth Algar, Wayne’s World). Marie Osmond was another.
Sheesh, she must be, what, like 32 or 33 by now, right? (I know, I know, she’s most of 50, but still…)
Say what you will about the Osmonds–and there’s certainly plenty to say–but they are very pretty people. Denial of such is ludicrous.
Let me know if you need a date. I still have my D&M dolls, complete with purple socks.
Don’t you mean purple sparkly socks? That’s what I recall about that show.
I totally remember that show. For me, it was da bomb, along with “Hee Haw”.
Yes, I am a Tennessee hick at heart.
I loved the Donnie and Marie show; and the Sonny & Cher show; and Flip Wilson.
You frightening me a little bit. I used to watch Donnie and Marie when I didn’t have anything else to do… and didn’t know better…. Do you think they’ll sing the “i’m a little bit country” song?
Oh, of COURSE they will. How could they not? What could possibly be too corny for a 2008 Donny & Marie show?
Cajun, getting me to STOP reading your blog will be the trick.
I heart you.
