Saintseester tagged me. Below, you can find the rules. While I do not always follow the rules and did not follow them all for this meme (my own title and no tags), I have included them here. Please let me and Saintseester know if you also do this one as she is creating a virtual Passion Quilt. Because I wholeheartedly believe that we are all teachers in this game of life, I encourage everyone to give it a try.

TITLE: Direction

My long-time readers know that being a school disciplinarian is a thankless job. Working with troubled teenagers is a daily adventure. It is not unusual to hear them or their parents whine about the hand they have been dealt in life. I often tell them I do not want to hear their excuses. I relate the lessons I was told by my parents and highlight a single phrase I heard nearly every day of my formative years from my mother: “You can do anything you imagine.” It is my philosophy that if you keep kids focused and positive they will learn that they can live the life they have imagined … regardless of circumstance.
Each student who enters my office leaves with a trinket compass attached to a laminated photo of the picture above with the Henry David Thoreau quote, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.”
My passion is for young people to find the direction to live the life they have always imagined.
What is your passion for today’s youth?

One of my favorite quotes. And I love that you hand out compasses. You are a cool administrator.
Your block is awesome; it has been added to the quilt:
passion quilt
I LIKE this one! Every time I see a colleagues quilt square, I think “YEAH! I think that, TOO!” It’s tough to just choose ONE image, don’t you think?
