1. “Superfreak” - Rick James - Little Miss Sunshine
This is my current all-time favorite musical moment scene.
2. “Try a Little Tenderness” - Otis Redding - Pretty in Pink
Who doesn’t love the Duckman?
3. “Day-O” (”The Banana Boat Song”) - Harry Belafonte - Beetlejuice
My high school friends and I used to sing this one in the car on a night out.
4. “Canned Heat” - Jamiroquai - Napolean Dynamite
You know you would vote for Pedro too after watching this.
5. “Let’s Get It On” - Jack Black - High Fidelity
This is much better than Marvin Gaye’s version. Jack Black rocks!
6. “You Can Leave Your Hat On” - Tom Jones - The Full Monty
I love the son dancing and cheering them along offstage.
7. “Tequila” - The Champs - Pee Wee’s Big Adventure
The best tequila for a top shelf margarita is Sauza’s Tres Generaciones Anejo — an excellent complement to Grand Marnier.
8. “Old Time Rock n Roll” - Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band - Risky Business
Tom Cruise looks pretty in pink; doesn’t he?
9. “Bohemian Rhapsody” - Queen - Wayne’s World
“If you’re gonna spew, spew into this.”
10. “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” - The Rolling Stones - The Big Chill
Who wouldn’t want this played at their funeral?
11. “Shout” - Otis Day & the Knights - Animal House
GATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! True confession, I did the gator with a friend at a high school dance to this song. We were the only two people on the dance floor.
12. “Jump” - The Pointer Sisters - Love Actually

13. “Puttin’ on the Ritz” - Gene Wilder/Peter Boyle - Young Frankenstein
