Today marks a new feature for fans of IRBB: true stories from the dean’s office. Here goes:
One of my frequent flyers told a teacher to shut up today. That’s not really unusual for him or for a select few students at the school. However, when the teacher asked him if he wished to rephrase himself or rethink what he just said, he replied, “Why? Did I stutter?”
I know it is totally unacceptable to condone disrespect or insubordination. Hell, it’s my freakin’ job
to handle these sort of issues. I had to shut my door and laugh after I placed the student on notice of required parent conference because it was damn funny.
Fun at work = agreeing with the students about some teachers who talk too damn much
I would have been snickering too, maybe he’ll be in the next generation of stand up comics (if he’s still standing)
