I probably spent the day wishing we had cable to see all the cool videos. Sadly, I lived in a rural area and did not get cable until about seven years later. One of my fondest memories of the first seven years of MTV was sleeping over at my aunt and uncle’s house and staying up late watching videos of all the 70’s and 80’s giants. The next day I’d go home and advertise that I wanted my MTV just like these guys did.
Wouldn’t it be nice if MTV went back to playing videos 24-7?
