Woes
1. I discovered that two of my supervisees may need constant attention and supervision.
2. I saw five students in my office for disciplinary issues before 8:15 a.m., one student three times between fifth and sixth period, and 12 total before the end of the workday.
3. It was 3:30 before my first official break today; I arrived at 6:30.
Wows
1. I dealt with my first angry (and possibly drunk) parent without incident or school police intervention. He left apologizing to me. 
2. I had no paper in my mailbox all day today!
3. I am amazed at how quickly my secretary is learning and adjusting to life in an inner-city middle school deans’ office.
Wishes
1. I wish that our school was 50 years newer.
2. I wish that I am prepared for my first big deadline 7 days early.
3. I wish that I spoke fluent Spanish.
Yikes - and I thought drunk college students were a headache.
